Music, Beer & Wine Highlight Holiday Weekend at Squaw
The Village at Palisades Tahoe celebrates Labor Day Weekend with both beer and wine festivals. The 27th Annual Foam Fest and the 28th Annual Alpen Wine Fest, both longstanding favorites and benefits for local organizations take place Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, Sept. 4th respectively.
[Foam Fest is one of the most highly anticipated festivals in the Tahoe area, where beer enthusiasts can sample from more than 40 craft breweries and have the chance to win Palisades Tahoe Alpine Meadows prizes in the famous “Hit the Slopes” raffle. Last year’s festival raised over $30,000 for Achieve Tahoe, a non-profit that brings people with disabilities to the slopes. The Alpen Wine Fest is another favorite, where wine enthusiasts can sip on a variety of wines from northern California wine country. Last year’s festival raised over $40,000 for Can Do Multiple Sclerosis, a non-profit providing supportive and empowering programs for people and families living with Multiple Sclerosis.
“Labor Day Weekend is one of the most exciting holidays in the Tahoe area and we look forward to welcoming locals and visitors to our fantastic annual festivals that benefit outstanding non-profits,” said Caroline Ross, executive director for the Squaw Village Neighbourhood Company. “There’s something for everyone at the Foam Fest and the Alpen Wine Fest – whether it be music, wine and beer tasting, shopping, prizes, or the beautiful mountain scenery.”
