Lake Tahoe Goes Over The Top!
As snow melts and water management continues, Lake Tahoe's level continues to rise. The lake's level recently surpassed a solid (literally) milestone, as it now has fully submerged the marker and stone that sit at the mouth of the Truckee River, a few hundred yards before the dam.
As of June 20, 2016, the lake level has risen to 6228.73' above sea level. As shown below, eight months ago, on November 15th, 2016, the marker rock (a large boulder) sat on dry land as the lake level had dropped to approximately 6222.86'.
