Celebrate Tahoe at the Made In Tahoe Festival
The 4th Annual Made In Tahoe Festival returns to the Village at Palisades Tahoe for Memorial Day Weekend on May 28-29. This one-of-a-kind event celebrates all things local and hosts a wide array of offerings that are made in or inspired by the Lake Tahoe Basin and Truckee areas. Local artisans, businesses, culinarians, organizations and entertainers will come together to celebrate all things Made in Tahoe including music, food, art, clothing, and more.
"We’re excited to once again host this amazing event that brings together talented and inspiring individuals to celebrate what the Tahoe region has to offer” said Caroline Ross, executive director for the Squaw Village Neighbourhood Company. "Made in Tahoe is a wonderful opportunity for the local community to engage with each other and also for our guests to experience a unique Tahoe gathering.”
The festival has grown significantly and this year will host over 100 different vendors, local businesses of all varieties with direct ties to the Tahoe region.
"It's amazing how this event has caught fire" commented Ross. "We're so excited to have and celebrate such a diverse community, all tied to this wonderful place."
New this year, Palisades Tahoe Alpine Meadows’ MTN ROOTS food truck will host the first annual Made in Tahoe Community F2T (Farm-to-Table) Dinner, a five course family style dinner featuring local chefs and produce benefiting the Palisades Tahoe Institute and Tahoe Food Hub. The dinner will take place on May 28 at 6:30 p.m. on the KT Sun Deck.
Festival attendees can also explore over 70 vendor booths Plus and enjoy performances by Tahoe Flow Artists, Truckee Dance Factory and Tahoe Truckee School of Music Students and more throughout the weekend. The event includes live music from local bands and musicians; guests can also enjoy aerial performances and workshops by Tahoe Flow Arts Studio. Local food and beverage will be offered in abundance and proceeds from all drink sales will benefit Tahoe Food Hub. Festivities take place between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
