KINGS BEACH, California (August 25, 2015) – The Butterfly Effect is spreading its wings and hosting the 2nd Annual all women, all ages non-competitive paddle event in beautiful Lake Tahoe. The Butterfly Effect Tahoe will be held September 12, 2015 out of the Kings Beach State Park Recreation Area, North Lake Tahoe, California. The Butterfly Effect Tahoe is an all-day event pivoted on a non-competitive aloha paddle consisting of a 1-4 mile paddle based on ability level. Women will have the option to use any "women powered" paddle vessel i.e; kayak, canoe, stand up paddle board etc. The event will continue with an Aloha theme beach cleanup and festival. There will be clinics, on land & on water yoga, music, dancing, local food, raffle prizes, photo booth fun and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit Girls On The Run - Sierras, a volunteer service organization dedicated to inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident by using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. They envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
The Butterfly Effect was founded by Tatiana Howard, a professional water women born and raised on Maui. Howard spreads her passion and inspires women across the globe. “Water sports have empowered and inspired me to live out my hopes and dreams, and giving back to surf communities is a passion I wish to share with many,” said Howard.
The Butterfly Effect, originating out of Maui, is an international series of water sports events designed to empower and inspire women, to grow together as a community, use their collective drive to give back to local charities, all while encouraging a healthy lifestyle, a vibrant community, and active local involvement. Since its first small windsurfing event in 2007, the Butterfly Effect has evolved into a worldwide movement. Over the years they have sponsored 26 different non-competitive events and workshops, in 10 countries, with thousands of participants. They continue to sponsor several events all over the world every year.
