Multiple sections of Lake Tahoe highways are scheduled to be worked on in the coming days prior to the onset of winter weather. This updated list includes scheduled roadwork from October 30th through November 3rd.

State Route 89 (Placer County): Work continues on a $35 million project in Tahoe City to build a new Truckee River bridge east of the Caltrans Maintenance Yard with roundabouts on either end of the realignment, replace the existing Truckee River (Fanny) Bridge, construct a roundabout at the “Wye” intersection and make complete street enhancements to the portion of State Route 89/West Lake Boulevard. State Route 89 (Placer County) from Fairway Drive to Mackinaw Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday for k-rail removal to prepare for winter season.

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 28 (Placer County) from Tahoe State Park to Chinquapin Drive: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday for paving work. 

State Route 28 (Placer County) from Dollar Drive to Lardin Way: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday for paving work. 

State Route 28 (Placer County) from Dollar Creek to Sahara Drive: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday for paving work. 

State Route 28 (Placer County) from Fox Street to the Nevada state line: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday for paving work. 

State Route 49 (El Dorado County) from Pleasant Valley Road to Lilyama Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for tree work. 

State Route 49 (El Dorado County) from the junction with State Route 193 in Cool to Saint Florian Court: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for tree work. 

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) at El Dorado Hills Boulevard/Latrobe Road: Eastbound motorists can expect the #3 and #4 lanes closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday for paving work. 

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) at Placerville Drive/Forni Road: Westbound motorists can expect the on-ramp #2 lane closed from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday for curb, gutter and sidewalk work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from 5 Mile Road to Carson Road: Eastbound motorists should expect the left turn lanes to be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday for Apple Hill traffic. 

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from the PG&E Canal to Forest Road in Fresh Pond: Westbound motorists should expect the #2 lane closed around the clock for emergency repair work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Bridal Veil Falls to the South Fork of the American River in Riverton: Westbound motorists should expect the #2 lane closed around the clock for emergency repair work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Alder Creek Road to 30 Mile Stone Tract: Motorists should expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for emergency slide removal work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Cedar Street to Strawberry Tract: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 p.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday for paving work. 

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Johnson Pass Road to Sierra Ski Ranch Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for emergency work. 

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Chiapa Street to the junction with State Route 89 in Meyers: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday for paving work. 

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from E Street to D Street in South Lake Tahoe: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect #2 lane closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday for curb, gutter and sidewalk work.

State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from Eagle Point Campground to Bayview Campground: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control around the clock for retaining wall work. 

State Route 89 (Placer County) from Tahoe Tavern Drive to Fairway Drive in Tahoe City: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday striping work. 

State Route 267 (Placer County) from Martis Peak Road to Commonwealth/Kingswood Drive: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday for paving work. 

State Route 267 (Placer County) from Martis Peak Road to Carnelian Bay Avenue: Motorists can expect intermittent stopped traffic in both directions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for utility work.
