Tahoe City’s popular Oktoberfest will return to the shore of Lake Tahoe on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Featuring local craft beers, live music, delicious food, local artisans and Bavarian themed games, the event is fun for all ages.

Craft beers from some of the region’s best microbreweries will be available. The purchase of the first beer includes an Oktoberfest stein for only $10. Participating breweries include Lagunitas, Auburn Ale House, Common Ciders, and Sierra Nevada Brewing, with wine available from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly. Food will also be available for purchase from local vendors including Men Wielding Fire, Big Blue BBQ, Crepe Hearts and Truckee Sourdough (pretzels).

Truckee, California based Coburn Station will perform, bringing a soulful blues and rock jam sound to keep the crowd rocking. The band was named in honor of S.S. Coburn who ran a stage station and public house for teamsters east of Donner Lake Camp and played music for his guests in the mid 1800s.

Bavarian themed games including the traditional stein holding contest, a weiner toss and keg rolling will take place, with Oktoberfest guests of all ages invited to join the fun and participate. North Tahoe Arts will offer complimentary pumpkin painting for children, and handmade, locally designed products and artwork will be available for purchase by vendors including We the Trees, Art Naturally Speaking, North Tahoe Arts and more. Raffle tickets will also be available on-site and online in advance, with the grand prize featuring a weeklong stay in Park City, Utah.

Offering a stunning backdrop on the shore of Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe City Oktoberfest will take place under an autumn canopy of trees adjacent to the Gatekeeper’s Museum at William B. Layton State Park. Leashed dogs are also welcome.
