Palisades Tahoe Alpine Meadows To Open KT-22, Scott, and more...

Following the recent series of snowstorms, which left 3.5 feet of fresh powder on the slopes, Palisades Tahoe Alpine Meadows has kicked into high gear and has announced opening of some of its most iconic and sought after terrain in the coming days.

KT-22 at Palisades Tahoe, and Scott Peak at Alpine Meadows are scheduled to open on Tuesday, Dec. 15th. Newly updated terrain park areas will open midweek at both resorts and Headwall at Palisades Tahoe is expected to open later in the week.

[Olympic Valley, Calif.] December 14, 2015 - Palisades Tahoe Alpine Meadows has been blanketed with 3.5 feet of snow over the last four days, and is ramping up for the holiday season with even more new terrain. On Tuesday, December 15, Palisades Tahoe is scheduled to open the iconic KT-22 Express at 1:00pm, conditions permitting.  Voted best chairlift in North America for its 2,000 vertical feet of steeps, chutes, and cliffs, the KT-22 zone is a haven for expert skiers. Similarly, Alpine Meadows will open up some of its greatest intermediate and advanced terrain off of Scott chair in the Promised Land zone, also scheduled for Tuesday, December 15. Conditions permitting, Palisades Tahoe plans to open Headwall Express later this week. With these added lifts, the resort will be spinning a total of 27 chairlifts, accessing a wide variety of terrain for all ability levels.  In addition, Alpine Meadows plans to open Tiegel terrain park on Tuesday, December 15, while Palisades Tahoe plans to open up Belmont park on Wednesday, December 16, with Gold Coast park scheduled for Saturday, December 19. The SnoVentures Start Park is currently open at the base of the mountain near Far East Express, and additional features will be added there this week.
