Sept 6, Fri: Tahoe City Grape Stomp - At the Cobblestone Center in the heart of Tahoe City. Sept 6-8, Fri-Sun: Reno Balloon Race - Is the world’s largest FREE hot-air ballooning event. Now in its 32nd year, the festival attracts nearly 100 balloons with up to 20 special shapes. Sept 7-8, Sat-Sun: The Historic Downtown Truckee Arts & Crafts Festival - is hosted by the Truckee Downtown Merchant's Association and features the original work of more than 60 artists and crafters in downtown Truckee’s walkable historic mountain setting.   More Info...

Sept 8, Sun: Concerts at Commons Beach - Last show of the season! Great live music FREE with everyone on the Commons Beach in Tahoe City.  Festive atmosphere, vendors, food & drink...bring a blanket!  Starring our very own North Tahoe Jazz Band & The BeerGardeners  More Info...

Sept 11-15, Wed-Sun: Reno Air Races - The 50th annual event is the only closed course pylon racing event in the world, and is the world’s longest running air race. Six different race plane classes battle just 60 feet from the ground, with the Unlimited and Jet classes reaching speeds over 500 mph!  More Info...

Sept 13-15, Fri-Sun: Tahoe Fat Tire Festival - The Tahoe Fat Tire Festival will feature five different races, a mountain bike stage race, an amazing movie, live music from JellyBread and beer from New Belgium Brewery all thanks to Palisades TahoeMore Info...

Sept 14, Sat: Tahoe Sierra Century Ride - Has earned praise for its scenic routes, challenging hill climbs (60 and 100 mile routes), full support services, great food and incredible music.  The Village at Palisades Tahoe is where the race starts & finishes.   More Info...

Sept 14, Sat: Emerald Bay Trail Run - Starts at Eagle Point and takes you around Emerald Bay and up the Rubicon Trail to D.L. Bliss State Park to finish at Lester Beach. The course is a 7.5 mile/12Km point to point route.  More Info...

Sept 19, Thu: Tahoe City Farmer's Market -  Celebrate summer and our local and regional farmers, growers, producers and artisans at the annual summer Farmer's Market, presented by the Foothill Farmer's Market at Commons Beach in Tahoe City.  More Info...

Sept 20, Fri: Big Sam's Funky Nation -  Big Sam began playing with the Dirty Dozen at the tender age of 19 before striking out on his own and creating the Funky Nation. The Stooges Brass Band are the special guests + an after-party with Mojo Green at the Crystal Bay Casino.  Keep Tahoe Funky!  More Info...

Sept 21, Sat: Sierra High Altitude Endurance Hikes - Greet the morning with a 7 am breakfast at Stella followed by 8 am speed trek with Jeff Baird. Treks will average 5 to 8 miles with a 1,000 to 1,500 vertical elevation change.   The Cedar House Sports Hotel will reserve your spot today.   More Info...

Sept 22, Sun: IRONMAN Lake Tahoe - The IRONMAN Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bicycle ride and 26.2 mile marathon run.  The Village at Palisades Tahoe is the place to be.  More Info...

Sept 25-29, Wed-Sun: Street Vibrations - It's HOG heaven at this celebration of music, metal and motorcycles. Sept 26-29, Thu-Sun: Lake Tahoe Marathon - Four days of challenging events, races, and fun from the North Shore of Tahoe to the South Shore.   More Info...

Sept 28, Sat: Oktoberfest - Traditional Bavarian Music and Folk Dancers, Benefit Beer Garten, Brats & Kraut & games from 2 to 6 pm in the Village at Palisades Tahoe. All entertainment at the event is free.   More Info...

Sept 28, Sat: The Casual Dogs - A fun local Tahoe Band that does tribute of the Grateful Dead.  This show is a FREE show at the Crystal Bay Casino's Red Room.   More Info...

Sept 28-29, Sat-Sun: Tough Mudder - 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie are a blast for competitor and spectator alike.  Come to Northstar at Tahoe to see all the action.  More Info...
