The competition will take place on Sunday, February 15 from 1-5 p.m. and the public is invited to attend and help review the cocktails. Tickets will be available for purchase for $5 at the door, which will allow participants to judge the batch cocktail portion of the competition by sampling 10 different drinks.
The other two cocktail categories, warm and cold, will be judged by Reno’s United States Bartenders Guild President Nicole Baker; West Shore café and inn General Manager and Sommelier Jessica Barton; and Edible Reno-Tahoe’s Publisher Jaci Goodman.
Winners will be announced at the end of the competition and prizes will be awarded for the top three contestants. Prizes include over $1,000 worth of merchandise containing; a two night stay at the West Shore Inn, Summer Paddleboard rentals, Homewood Mountain Resort lift tickets, a mention in online publications, a Bottle of Angle’s Envy Bourbon, West Shore Café gift certificates, and much more.
