TransWorld SNOWboarding Magazine and High Cascade Snowboard Camp are proud to announce the 2011 TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAM contests - and one of the stops at Northstar - at - TahoeTM! 

 

This 6 stop tour is hosted by the most progressive park resorts from coast to coast and the 2011 series will no doubt repeat as a melting pot for some of the happiest up and coming riders on Earth.  Northstar at Tahoe is proud to host the 5th stop of the tour on February 26, 2011.

For the $10 entry fee, riders will receive a year subscription to TransWorld SNOWboarding Magazine along with a chance to compete for a huge prize pack with tons of loot from TransWorld Snowboarding and other tour sponsors including High Cascade, Zumiez, Ride Snowboards, Anon Optics, Giro Helmets, Coal Headwear and Drop Gloves.  Courtesy of Zumiez and back for 2011, all first place girl and guy finishers from each stop will be awarded a flight voucher to compete in the 2011 TransAM Finals at Bear Mountain in California.  Ride Snowboards has also raised the stakes this year - the overall TransAM Champions will walk away with an automatic qualification to the RIDE Shakedown Finals at Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington on March 12 & 13, 2011.

10:00 a.m.
Registration & Rider Check-In (Waiting List Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m.): Located at Copper Lane Ticketing on the lower level of the Village.
10:45 a.m.
Rider Meeting at the TransAM Slopestyle Minipark
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Traffic Jam:  Riders will hike and ride the Slopestyle Minipark course together.  During this hour, the judges will pick out 40 riders to advance to the Ultimate Jam by giving out the coveted t-shirt/bib hybrid.1:00 p.m. -
1:45 p.m.
Ultimate Jam Finals: There will be three 10-minute jam sessions on each line of the park.  Riders talents will be showcased in each round and winners will be picked from overall impression in each line.  The Ultimate Jam will put the spotlight on each of the 40 riders in all three rounds ensuring that the riding will be nothing less than well rounded and dramatic!2:30 p.m.
Awards & Party: Once the esteemed judges have chosen their winner it will be announced in the Village at Northstar during a party with lunch for all participants.  There will also be the infamous Product Barf where you could be one of the lucky winners of some awesome prizes.
