Featuring local craft beers, live music, and delicious food in a festive fall celebration, Tahoe City’s Annual Oktoberfest returns Saturday, September 29, 2018!
Featuring craft beers from some of the region’s best microbreweries, live music and great food, traditional Bavarian-themed games and craft vendor village, Tahoe City, California’s Oktoberfest, sponsored by the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, Placer County and The Bridgetender, is a festive fall celebration that welcomes all ages. The event will take place at Commons Beach on September 29 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with music by The Beer Gardeners and traditional Oktoberfest-inspired tunes by accordionist Robert Ludgate.
“For years, Tahoe City’s annual Oktoberfest celebration has been a great way for visitors and our community to gather and welcome the start of the fall season at Lake Tahoe,” said JT Chevallier, executive director of the Tahoe City Downtown Association. “This year, Oktoberfest has a new lakeside location at Commons Beach, which is sure to give it a distinct, memorable feel.”
Tahoe City Oktoberfest is a free community event, with food and drinks available for purchase. Commemorative Oktoberfest beer steins will be available for $10 and include the first beer for guests ages 21+. Additional beer tickets will be sold for $5, and Bavarian-themed food items will be available from local food trucks including Men Wielding Fire, Big Blue BBQ and The Buck Stops Here. Participating breweries include Lagunitas, Auburn Ale House, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, Sierra Nevada Brewing and Loomis Basin Brewing Company.
Children attending Oktoberfest are invited to paint a pumpkin with North Tahoe Arts. Pumpkins will be free (first come, first served), and art supplies will be provided.
