Self-Guided Art Tour in Kings Beach August 8-9, 2020
Local artists will display their art in a casual and safe setting outside their Kings Beach area studios Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9, 11am to 5pm.
• Sixteen independent artists including both emerging and seasoned artists • Access by driving or walking short distances (~1-mile radius)
With the cancellation of art festivals and limited or no access to many retail galleries due to the coronavirus pandemic, artists in the Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista area are opening their studios and displaying their art outside. A wide variety of art mediums will be featured and available for purchase including watercolor, jewelry, pine needle basketry, ceramics, acrylic, mixed media, photography, glass, and more.
The studio-based art tour is the perfect way to interact with artists, see where art is created, learn about art process/technique, and directly purchase artwork from the artist. Some of the studios have groups of artists’ work on display, and this event is the first public showing for several of the participating artists.
This art tour is self-guided: addresses are available on a printed flyer and posters available throughout Kings Beach. Participants can use GPS or a map to locate the art studios and follow pink directional signs. Visit some or all the studios; all are within approximately a one-mile radius in the Kings Beach neighborhood and the east edge of Tahoe Vista off of Highway 267 in beautiful North Lake Tahoe.
There is no tour fee and no sponsoring organization ... just a simple collaboration among artists, friends and neighbors!
All participants must wear face covering, physically distance 6 feet from artists and other participants, and adhere to all current Placer County COVID-19 guidelines. For more information search Kings Beach Art Tour on Facebook.
