Grab the kids and join us for our Family Afternoon Snowshoe Tours taking place at Northstar California this winter season. These tours are a wonderful way to introduce your little ones to the great outdoors in a fun, unintimidating, friendly atmosphere. The tours are open to all ages and will be an easy snowshoe for the whole family.

Tours will begin at the Cross-Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center at 1:00 p.m. and will last approximately 3 hours. Your guide will lead you on a snowshoe adventure through some of our easier trails to a historic red caboose set in an alpine meadow for hot chocolate, cookies, and candy cane treats! Snowshoes are not provided with the tour so bring your own if you have them. There will be snowshoes available for rent along with sleds for children who get tired. Snowshoe rentals are $25 for adults and $13 for children. Sled rentals are $15 for the entire tour.

Clothing Attire + Equipment

Please make sure to wear warm and waterproof shoes and clothing. We recommend snow boots to keep your feet warm and multiple layers of clothing so you can adjust for your temperature during the hike. You are welcome to bring your own snowshoes, or there will be snowshoes available for rent.

Reservations

Reservations are required and have a 24-hour cancellation policy. We do recommend signing up early, these events have a tendency to fill up quickly!
