The Broken Arrow Skyrace is an iconic race that encompasses more than just running. It is a true test of how fast you can move through the mountains. Participants will start in Palisades Tahoe and race up mountain trails, scramble across ridgelines and up gullies, and speed through Tahoe’s forests.

• The race will start in Palisades Tahoe and romp through the mountainous terrain surrounding the area
• Participants can register for one of 3 distances

The Broken Arrow Skyrace will have 3 distances:

• A “VK” or vertical kilometer distance that is 3-3.5 miles and gains approximately 3,200' elevation. This race ends at the top of a mountain. This race is part of the Altra US Skyrunner Series.
• A 32.23 mile distance with over 11,000' elevation gain. This race follows a loop course and will start and finish in Palisades Tahoe. This race is part of the Altra US Skyrunner Series.
• A 16.4 mile distance with over 6,000' elevation gain. This race follows a loop course and will start and finish in Palisades Tahoe. This race is NOT part of the Altra US Skyrunner Series.
