The Tahoe Big Blue Adventure Race is a celebration of the natural environment of the North Shore, and the perfect climate of "Indian Summer." Try one of two adventure races on Saturday September 15, 2012.
SprintThe Tahoe Big Blue Sprint is ideal for the beginner adventure racer, while still providing a challenge to veterans. Designed for finishing times of 2 to 4 hours, this is a great way to give the sport a try or introduce a friend to lots of fun. The race will begin at 11:30 a.m. from the top of the Vista Chair Lift and will finish at the base of the Big Springs Gondola in the Village at Northstar. Entries includes pre race clinic and Q&A session hosted by some of the best AR racers in the sport. These veteran racers will give you race strategies and tips in these sessions. Inflatable kayaks are also provided with your sprint entry.
Tahoe Big Blue The full length Tahoe Big Blue is sure to excite all who participate while enjoying the spectacular views and trails of the North Shore. Designed for finishing times of 6 to 10 hours, crossing the finish line will be a satisfying accomplishment. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the Village at Northstar and will finish at the base of the Big Springs Gondola in the Village. All teams will kayak, mountain bike and orienteer through the course. Following the race there will be a racer BBQ at the finish line with New Belgium Beer.
