11th annual Lake Tahoe Adventure Slide Show Series sponsored by your friends at The BackCountry

This event is held every once a month at Palisades Tahoe Olympic Plaza Bar located above Dave's Deli, at the bottom of the mountain. Palisades Tahoe is 9 miles south of Truckee, and 5 miles north of Tahoe City. The Olympic Plaza is not part of the "Village" in the parking lot, but rather the older building closest to the snow.

No Host Bar, children are welcome.

The 10/11 season offers 10 incredible shows, from some seriously adventurous people. Most of them are from our very own Sierras, if not Tahoe itself. Come meet your neighbors! They want to spread that good mountain vibe, and get us all stoked on life. Many of these shows are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to meet and hear from incredible mountain loving athletes and travelers.

Shows start right at 8pm this year and usually last one hour. Arrive early for a seat. There is comfortable seating for about 200, and pretty good standing room for another 100. Most shows fill the room completely by 8:10 and the show has started.

Fri Dec 10 - 8pm JEREMEY JONES - Tahoe's own superstar snowboarder who breaks all barriers of athletic skill, backcountry vision, and modesty. His latest AK Splitboarding film "Deeper" needs to be on your shelf asap. This is an exclusive show where Jeremey and friend/photographer Seth Lightcap will talk about their amazing adventures with photographs and video clips.

Sat Jan 15 - 8pm Dan Mingori - Dan is a Bishop local High Sierra ski touring fanatic, author of the latest backcountry Eastern Sierra Ski touring Guidebook, and unreal photographer. His show "Ticklists" will ring true with a lot of you, and get you all fired up to revisit your own little black book.

Sat Feb 19 8pm Richard Leversee - Tahoe Legend climber, backcountry skier, and photographer Richard Leversee brings us a new show "Stonequest: A transformational, Spirit-Centered Path From Climbing To Healing Massage"

Sat March 19 8pm John Moynier - yup, John has been hiding from the limelight like Richard Leversee for a few years. But most of us have ongoing inspiration from his Eastern Sierra mountain guide history and climbing and ski touring guides. You have his books, and they are well worn.

Sat April 23 8pm Dave Nettle - (not confirmed yet) Tahoe's own world travelling Alpinist, story teller, all-around super cool guy to hang out with. Come spend an evening with Dave, you won't forget it. This show will highlight recent first big wall ascent in Greenland and much more.

Sat May 21 8pm Todd Offenbacher - Another Tahoe local you will love meeting. Todd is an incredible climber who's name is all over the local guidebooks for hard work putting up new routes, with many first ascents around the world as well. Todd brings that high-on-life attitude we all love to be around.
