Jake's On the Lake is known for it's lakefront dining and incredible sunset views. It is also the location of one of Tahoetopia's longest-running webcams. This Tahoe Time Lapse was captured innocently enough on a quiet Sunday in May (May 23, 2021 to be exact) and delivers a dynamic view of the day's meteorlogical phenomena, capped off with a short, sweet Sierra sunset. Enjoy!
P.S.: Check back any evening year round to catch and cherish a Tahoe Sunset in real time.

This summer, wilderness rangers report bears are successfully taking down food-hangs in Desolation Wilderness. Once bears become habituated to human food and garbage they will return and seek it out. Agencies highly recommend using bear resistant canisters when visiting the backcountry.
Lake Tahoe is known for its year-round variety of weather phenomena. Recently, locals, visitors and webcam viewers from near and far were treated to a spectacular array of colors and conditions as a mid-summer squall rolled in over Lake Tahoe on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
