Hikers and history buffs can travel the footsteps of early emigrant’s journey across the Sierra Nevada mountains October 14 & 15 by participating in the 25th Annual Donner Party Hike.
The seemingly incessant series of winter storms that have rolled through the Sierra this January turned wet and wild for a few days in early February. On February 9th, after three days of rain, the winds and waves kicked up to new heights (7' waves on the lake were forecast).
