The new Museum of Sierra Ski History and 1960 Winter Olympics will hold its grand opening Friday, August 30th, as part of Labor Day weekend festivities honoring the 150th anniversary of the founding of Tahoe City.

Wine lovers can enjoy early fall in the Sierra at the 25th Annual Alpen Wine Festival held on Sunday, September 1 from 2-5 p.m. at The Village at Palisades Tahoe. All proceeds from the festival benefit Can Do Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a national nonprofit organization sponsoring lifestyle empowerment programs for people with MS and their support partners.

In what is becoming a flagship event for a young and fast-growing sport, and for SUP in Lake Tahoe The Quicksilver Ta-Hoe Nalu, presented by Nature's Bakery, will celebrate its 7th year this summer, and its important place as the oldest and longest running SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) race in the world.

Two days of explosive musical talent takes over The Village at Palisades Tahoe August 10-11, featuring headlining acts Academy Award nominated Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue on Saturday night, and the MarchFourth Marching Band on Sunday.
