Lake Tahoe To Bid On Winter X-Games

A new Lake Tahoe Event Organization announced today that Lake Tahoe has qualified and is being considered as one of the eligible destinations to host the the X Games in 2015-17. Finalists will be determined by April 2013 and host cities will be announced by the end of 2013.

Tahoe Pass Deadline Dec. 2

Vail Resorts' Tahoe Pass, which provides access to 3 resorts - Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood, and more than 10,270 skiable acres, hits its discount deadline on Sunday, Dec. 2nd.

Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood Announce Early Openings Starting Weds

As a result of ample early-season snowfall and ongoing snowmaking efforts, Vail Resorts announced today, November 12, 2012, the moving up of opening dates for its three Lake Tahoe resorts. Heavenly and Northstar will now open on Wednesday, Nov. 14th, with Kirkwood following on Friday, November 16th.
