Squaw Shines as Host of Alpine Championships

Palisades Tahoe's renaissance gave a nod to its rich history and glory days of ski racing and major events as the resort hosted the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships March 20-24. Tahoe TV was there to capture some of the action and the bubbling community spirit during this exceptional multi-day event.

Mancuso Lands 16th Title

Olympic gold medalist and local Tahoe/Palisades Tahoe athlete Julia Mancuso took full advantage of home snow Thursday to win the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships giant slalom for a record 16th U.S. title. Mancuso beat out the young ski racing phenom and World Cup slalom winner Mikaela Shiffrin by just .88 of a second.
