Tahoe-based adaptive athlete Grant Korgan is attempting to become the first adaptive athlete in history to reach the South Pole. On Saturday, January 14th, Gallery Keoki and Chase International are hosting “Chase the Push”, a fund and awareness-raising event for the expedition and its affiliate non-profit foundation, High Fives.

History will repeat itself this coming Sunday, January 15th, as the closing day of the Olympic Heritage Week activities will feature a special 'snow dance' performed by Native American dancers The Eagle Wings Dance Group.

Tahoe Adaptive Athlete Pushes Towards South Pole

Lake Tahoe local and adaptive athlete Grant Korgan is literally 'pushing' his way towards the South Pole in a first-time sit-ski attempt to cross the Antarctic and reach the South Pole on January 17th, the 100-year anniversary of Captain Robert Falcon Scott's 1912 expedition. Supporters are being invited to 'buy a push' to help fund the project.
