The 19th Annual Jake's Charity Fishing Derby, the only derby on Lake Tahoe, will take place on Sunday, June 3rd as anglers from around the region try to reel in over $1500 in prize money.

Do you love Lake Tahoe and have an interest in learning more about the lake? Do you enjoy science, learning new information, and sharing your knowledge? Residents who would like to help people learn about the region's environmental assets and challenges are needed to serve as volunteer docents at the Thomas J. Long Foundation Education Center and the UC Davis Eriksson Education Center. Located in Incline Village and Tahoe City respectively, the two UC Davis education centers are well positioned along the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

The Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce will hold its 20th Annual Business Expo & Chamber Mixer Wednesday, April 25th from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Resort at Squaw Creek. Businesses from around the region will gather to share their wares and discuss opportunities at this 'must-attend' local business event.

Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows hosted their first U.S. Ski Team Day on April 7th, bringing together some of the world's top athletes for a day of fun and fundraising. The celebration expanded as Palisades Tahoe announced that it will host the 2013 and 2014 U.S. Nationals, and unveiled 'Tamara's Run' in honor of skiing legend Tamara McKinney. Tahoe TV was there to capture the excitement.
