US Ski Team Athletes Gather Pre-Championships

Atomic Skis and The Start Haus held a festive gathering for U.S. Ski Team members at Village Pizzeria in Truckee prior to the start of the 2013 Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships at Palisades Tahoe. Tahoe TV had the opportunity to get some comments and insights from some of the area's celebrated athletes.

Mancuso Lands 16th Title

Olympic gold medalist and local Tahoe/Palisades Tahoe athlete Julia Mancuso took full advantage of home snow Thursday to win the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships giant slalom for a record 16th U.S. title. Mancuso beat out the young ski racing phenom and World Cup slalom winner Mikaela Shiffrin by just .88 of a second.
