Kings Beach Free Concert Line-Up Announced

North Tahoe Business Association has announced the band line-up for the 6th annual Music on the Beach free concert series. The nine-week series takes place at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area and kicks off Friday, July 6 and runs every Friday evening, 6:30-8:30 p.m., through August 31.

Tahoe's Only Fishing Derby Coming June 3rd

The 19th Annual Jake's Charity Fishing Derby, the only derby on Lake Tahoe, will take place on Sunday, June 3rd as anglers from around the region try to reel in over $1500 in prize money.

McShlonkey Tickles Squaw's Wild Side

The 2nd Annual Pain McShlonkey Classic delivered wild times and wackiness (a-la those in 'Hot Dog - The Movie') to Palisades Tahoe March 23-24th. Celebrating the life of legendary skier Shane McConkey, the event's antics and general unruliness were all for a good cause, raising funds for local school programs via the McConkey Foundation. Tahoe TV/SVTV was on hand to capture this exclusive highlight footage of the weekend's festivities.

Olympians Headline Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows U.S. Ski Team Day

Legends of American skiing, including Olympians Julia Mancuso, Jonny Moseley, Shannon Bahrke, Marco Sullivan, Tamara McKinney and many more, will hit the slopes at Palisades Tahoe on April 7 for the first Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows U.S. Ski Team Day. Olympic champion Aksel Lund Svindal will also appear as a special guest.

18th Annual Ability Celebration Takes Place March 27-31

Disabled Sports USA Far West, located at Alpine Meadows Resort, hosts its annual week-long Ability Celebration, March 27 - April 1 in celebration of accomplishments with adaptive sports and recreation for people with disabilities.

Earth Day Festival Returns To Squaw Valley

The 2012 Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival is slated for Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Village at Palisades Tahoe. This all-ages, community sponsored event gives participants an opportunity to learn about recycling and composting, alternative energy, sustainability, watershed and forest health, and reducing ecological footprints via a diverse array of agency representatives and earth-friendly vendors. It is the largest eco-event in the North Lake Tahoe / Truckee area.

Banzai Tour Wraps Up In Snowy Spectacle

The 2012 Rahlves Banzai Tour came to a close amidst a pummeling snow and wind storm during the final event, the Silver Belt Banzai and Super Finals held at Sugar Bowl on March 11th. Daron Rahlves, the series' producer, again took home the title of reigning Banzai Champion with a win in the Super Finals against the winners of each of this year's four events.
