Ready to leave the ordinary behind and make some fresh muddy memories at Tough Mudder Tahoe? You’ll do all that and more when you tackle classic Tough Mudder mud run obstacles and brand new 2017 upgrades. Ordinary won’t know what hit it.

Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles they won't find anywhere else.

The Squaw Valley Half Marathon starts and finishes at the iconic Village At Squaw Valley, site of the historic 1960 Winter Olympics. The course is fast and flat, a scenic out and back featuring mainly paved trail through the valley and along the Truckee River. During the route keep an eye out for bald eagles, mule deer and trout leaping out of the river all while enjoying the cool, refreshing sierra air.

You will be supported by five aid stations along the course which will have water, electrolyte beverage and a variety of fruit and snacks.  At the finish we will have the music pumping, a selection of recovery foods and some ice cold Lagunitas beer and soda to celebrate your accomplishment.

Stick around to cheer on the other runners and relax in the Village while enjoying a perfect Squaw Sunday afternoon.  This one you will not want to miss!

Race start is located at the East Side of the Village.  Look for our white registration trailer and iconic Tahoe Trail Running finish arch.

 Join us in the heart of Tahoe City to celebrate the beginning of summer at The Tahoe City Solstice Festival. In addition to Tahoe City’s distinctive charms – including convenient lake access, acclaimed artists, fabulous restaurants and notable shops and galleries you can celebrate summer at the Thursday Farmers Market, Solstice Stroll Classic Car Show on Friday, Saturday Tahoe City Wine Walk and Sunday’s Concert at Commons Beach are annual Solstice Festival highlights.

The Tahoe City Solstice Festival, June 15-18, may be the best place to celebrate Father’s Day at the lake. Many people take the opportunity to shop and wrap up the day with dinner in Tahoe City. It’s going to be a great Solstice Weekend in Tahoe City!

Enjoy all of the fan favorites including; two world-class team roping events, professional bull riding, team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and bronc riding. The exciting western action features an authentic cattle drive, parade, Double R Marketplace for western shopping, food, carnival and Mutton Bustin’.   

The "Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West," the Reno Rodeo is a 10-day event. The Reno Rodeo is a PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) sanctioned sporting event. Reno Rodeo is a non-profit organization made up over 500 volunteers. Over 140,000 fans will be in attendance for the 4th richest PRCA tour rodeo. The event impacts the Reno/Sparks area economy with $42 million going to hotels, casinos, restaurants and retail. The Reno Rodeo has been nationally televised on CBS Sports, Fox Sports Net, Versus, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Classic.

The Village at Squaw Valley is paying tribute to man – and woman’s – best friend with the 8th Annual Peaks and Paws Festival. Dogs and their Masters can enjoy 2 days of live music, delicious food, and wine and beer tasting (people only!) amid Squaw Valley’s stunning mountain setting. The festival also includes a dog-friendly guided hike up the mountain, an array of specialty product pet vendors and a dock jumping competition with Splash Dogs. All of the proceeds from the festival will benefit the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe

Tahoe City Wine Walk 2015

The Tahoe City Wine Walk on Saturday, June 17, 2017 runs along scenic North Lake Tahoe Boulevard and provides some of the best views of Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in the country. The alfresco event, scheduled from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. will focus on varietals from area wine producers and will also feature gourmet bites from North Lake Tahoe’s top restaurants and catering companies. Many take the opportunity to sip, shop at Tahoe City’s unique establishments for signature wares and wrap up the day with dinner at one of Tahoe City’s many restaurants – all within walking distance of the event.

Tickets will go on sale soon and run $40/person in advance and $50/person at the event (cash only). Ticket price includes admittance, wine tasting, commemorative wine glass and bag, delicious bite-sized offerings, live music and free on-site parking. Attendees must be 21 years or older and show valid ID when purchasing tickets the day of the event.

The Tahoe City Wine Walk is a fundraiser for the Tahoe City Downtown Association. This non-profit organization consists of local merchants, property owners, community associations, residents, professionals and contributors whose goal it is to enhance and promote a vibrant and prosperous commercial and social center for the residents and visitors to Tahoe City.

XTERRA Tahoe City races celebrate the natural environment of Lake Tahoe’s excellent terrain, trails and blue water. Both the XTERRA Tahoe City and the XTERRA Lake Tahoe are qualifying races for the XTERRA USA Championship. Finish in the top 15 in your division and earn a spot on the starting line for the invitation-only XTERRA USA Championship held in September at Snowbasin Resort in Ogden, Utah. The XTERRA Tahoe City race is one of the races that make up the XTERRA US Point Series.

There are three races to choose from.

Red White Tahoe Blue Celebration

Incline Village comes to life July 1-4 during the much-anticipated Red, White and Tahoe Blue festival. The three-day patriotic event includes several parades, face painting, flag raising and lowering ceremonies, live music, a Tahoe Firecracker Trail Trek, Rubber Duck Race and more.

This week of fun, food, music, and entertainment culminate with arguably the best fireworks display in the country on July 4th at Incline Beach.

Fireworks will go from approx. 9:30 pm to 10 pm.
